Mt Magometon Quarry closing noon on Friday, 22 November

Coonamble Shire Council advises that the Mt Magometon Quarry will close earlier this Friday, 22 November – at noon.

The quarry is usually 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟳:𝟬𝟬𝗮𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝟱:𝟬𝟬𝗽𝗺, and 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟳:𝟬𝟬𝗮𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝟯:𝟯𝟬𝗽𝗺 (with the weighbridge closing at 3pm every second Friday). 

To ensure the best possible experience, customers are asked to take two steps before heading to the quarry.

Step 1: If you are planning on coming to the quarry to pick up materials, please call (02) 6825 6222 before travelling out to Mt Magometon to confirm availability of staff and required materials.

Step 2: Safety is of paramount importance at the quarry. Customers will require three key pieces of personal protective equipment to enter the site: 

⚠️ A helmet or hard hat.

⚠️ A hi-vis vest.

⚠️ Steel-capped boots.

For their own safety, customers will be turned away if they fail to wear the required personal protective equipment when on site.
