Seniors living in and visiting Coonamble Local Government Area have an opportunity to take part in several Council-led social services.
Tech Savvy Seniors
Council offers an hour of tech genius on the first Tuesday of each month from 9am to 10am. Senior residents who have questions on how to use an electronic device or their mobiles can attend from 9am to 10am and meet with a local Tech Guru to be given a demonstration of their own devices or mobiles or to ask any questions. This is a free service. Please phone ahead to book your place – (02) 6827 1925.
Seniors Movies (Monthly)
Coonamble Shire Library hosts a free Seniors Movie and Morning Tea on the first Tuesday of each month, from 10am. Please phone ahead to book your place – (02) 6827 1925. This activity provides an opportunity to connect with others and socialise.
Seniors Festival Luncheon
The Seniors Festival is a statewide initiative held in late March or early April each year. During the Festival, Council hosts a free luncheon, with entertainment. The Seniors Luncheon is well attended with more than 100 people attending each year. The function is normally a themed party.
Watch Council’s website and Facebook for details closer to the event.
