Tooraweenah Road Upgrade Road Closure and Detour-in Place

TOORAWEENAH ROAD UPGRADE – ROAD CLOSURE & DETOUR IN PLACE

Coonamble Shire Council advises that a section of Tooraweenah Road (Segment 01) between CH 54.500km and CH 57.049km is now closed to traffic to allow major culvert, drainage and road reconstruction works to take place as part of the Tooraweenah Road Upgrade Project.

Detour Route:All traffic is being diverted via National Park Road and Mena Road (approximately 7.5km).

Works currently underway include:

• Clearing and grubbing

• Topsoil removal

• Culvert installation

• Earthworks and road reconstruction

Heavy machinery, construction vehicles and workers will be operating throughout the work zone. Please follow all signage and traffic control directions and allow extra travel time.

Property access will be maintained where possible throughout the project.
