Coonamble Sportsground - New Footpath Construction

Coonamble Shire Council would like to advise the community that construction of a new footpath at the Coonamble Sportsground is scheduled to commence on Monday 9 March 2026.

The works are expected to take approximately three (3) weeks to complete, weather permitting.

During this time, the main gates to the Sportsground will be locked to the general public while construction is underway. This is necessary to ensure the safety of contractors, users of the facility and members of the public.

All pre-booked community events and sports days will still proceed as scheduled, with access arrangements coordinated with the relevant user groups.

For safety reasons, members of the public are asked to stay clear of the construction area and follow all signage, barriers and directions in place while works are being undertaken.

Council appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation during this time while improvements are made to the Sportsground facilities.
